Learn to drive with the Ultra Driving Simulator in realistic road conditions. Practice safety and defensive driving. Instruction will cover the use of the equipment and software. After completing the instruction take an assessment that will allow you to reserve the driving simulator during scheduled lab time. ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: To register for this orientation and/or assessment, cardholders must attend the General Orientation for the Melrose Center and must be at least 15 years of age. Take the fashion world by storm! We will teach you everything you need to know to start sewing like a pro. Learn to sew your own tote bag from start to finish using professional patterns, fabric of your choice and professional sewing machines in this 3-day class series. Each session will be 2 hours. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this class. We provide fabric for your first time taking this class/series. If you choose to come to this class/series more than one time, you will need to provide your own fabric. (Project requires no less than 1 yard of woven fabric.) This is a multi-day class. Skills Required: Participants must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric Age requirements: 13 to Adult Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine Registration is required with a Library card in good standing.
