Prior to booking a studio, users are required to successfully complete a brief thirty minute studio-specific assessment. The assessment will cover basic studio workflows, including: setting up microphones, signal routing, cue systems and setting up and saving a recording session using Pro Tools. ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: To register for this assessment, cardholders must attend the General Orientation for the Melrose Center, the Audio Studio Orientation, have Live Room Booking Privileges, and must be at least 18 years of age. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years of age)., Required Skills:, Introductory knowledge of the Pro Tools environment, signal flow and effects processing. Learn to drive a forklift in lifelike warehouse conditions. Practice moving freight with realistic controls. Instruction will cover the use of the equipment and software. After completing the instruction take an assessment that will allow you to reserve the Forklift simulator during scheduled lab time. Do you simply need a space and tools to build your maker projects?  We have the equipment and tools, you bring your materials and projects! Come to our makerspace for these extended hours for help with circuits, soldering, 3d design, woodworking or programming. We have the tools you need!  A specialized instructor will be available to assist you. Use of the equipment requires basic proficiency and safety standards.   Please note: Questions are handled based on the topics discussed in any of the classes offered at the Library.     Tools and Equipment Available: PC Laptops with Arduino, 3D design, and CNC software. Makerbot Replicator 3D Printer.
