The Orange County Library System can provide the service of a storyteller at your location for storytelling events. To arrange a storytelling event, complete the form below. As of April 1, 2020 - We are currently only offering virtual storytelling visits.

Once you complete the form below a staff member will contact you in 5-7 business days to confirm the requested date/time and make arrangements for the event.

Please note the following when completing the form:

For in-person events:

  • We recommend that the location for the event be a space where attendees can gather around the storyteller, versus spread out in a large space. For example an open floor area in the school’s media center.
  • We do not recommend holding the event outdoors due to external distractions and sound quality (cars, planes, lawnmowers, etc.).

For virtual events:

  • We ask that you provide the virtual platform for the storyteller to join. Provide the name of the virtual platform below.
  • Be prepared to allow the storyteller to access the virtual room at least 30 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin for a tech check.
