What if I’m a Maitland or Winter Park Reciprocal Borrower or an Out-of-County Resident and I want to use the Common Areas of the Melrose Center?

These users will begin by scheduling a free Melrose Center General Orientation. At the end of the orientation, they receive a Melrose Center card at no cost. Melrose cardholders will use the card number associated with their Melrose Center card to reserve computers in the common area, sign up for classes, or book studios or other spaces on a pay-per-use basis. See Melrose Cardholders: Common Access Table for further details.

Computers are only to be used for working on projects associated with Melrose Center type activities such as video, audio, graphic design and photo editing. Users cannot use these computers to read emails, write letters, browse the Internet and social networking sites such as Facebook or to watch movies. Users cannot bring their own laptops to read emails, write letters, browse the Internet and social networking sites such as Facebook or to watch movies. For these activities, library staff will direct users to other areas of the building.
