Intermediate Sewing: Techniques Sample Book Phone registration required

Master sewing techniques! Join us to learn proper sewing techniques such as sewing buttonholes, how to insert zippers, how to use bias tape, top stitching, edge stitching, and under stitching, as well as how to sew French seams, flat-felled seams, slot seams and more. In each 2 hour class session a new technique will be covered. Students will create sample binder of instructions and sewn examples. This class will aid both the beginner and advanced sewer. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this class. Skills Required: Participants must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric. Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine. Registration is required with a Library card in good standing. Seats are limited, so register today! To register, please call us at 407.835.7323 or visit any of our locations in person. Students are required to bring: 2 yards of 44" wide unwashed muslin fabric or plain cotton fabric for sewing the sample of each technique covered in class.
