Ancestry Library Edition
Now available from home through June 30, 2021.

Ancestry Library Edition provides easy access to more than 7,000 genealogy databases and 200 billion images with a single search. Collections provide information on individuals from North America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and more. Updates and new content are always being added. U.S. databases include the complete U.S. Census & Index (1790-1940), vital, church, court, and immigration records. Other notable collections include Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Books; Social Security Death Index (updated monthly); WWI Draft Registration Cards; Federal Slave Narratives; and a strong Civil War collection. The Map Center contains more than 1,000 historical maps. Many international records are available. Canadian collections provide nearly 60 million records from the Census of Canada; and key vital records, such as the Drouin Collection (1621-1967), which includes nearly 30 million baptism, marriage, and burial records from Quebec. U.K. collections offer censuses for England, Wales, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, and Scotland, with nearly 200 million records; Births and Baptisms (1834-1906), Marriage Licenses (1521-1869), Deaths and Burials (1834-1934), and Poor Law Records (1840-1938) in London; and more. Other international collections continue to grow with more than 46 million records from German census, vital records, emigration indexes, ship lists, phone directories, and more; Chinese surnames in the large and growing Jiapu Collection of Chinese lineage books; Jewish family history records from Eastern Europe and Russia; and more. Answers await everyone—whether professional or hobbyist, expert or novice, genealogist, or historian.

Books & Authors brings ease, authority and fun to the question of "what do I read next?" This resource can also be used to enhance the experience of the book you are reading; dig deeper into its themes and origins; or learn how the author's life and times contributed to the work.

Critical Insights: Authors

This series focuses on an author's entire body of work, providing literary criticism and biographical information. Authors included are: William Faulkner, Zora Neale Hurston, Barbara Kingsolver, Cormac McCarthy, Alice Walker, and Tennessee Williams.

Critical Survey of Graphic Novels: History, Theme, & Technique

Essays covering themes and concepts of graphic novels, including genres, time periods, foreign language traditions, social relevance, and craftsmanship such as penciling and inking.

Genealogy Connect (Gale)

Includes genealogy-related topics such as Royal and Noble, Immigration, Native American, and Colonial & Revolutionary. It has intuitive searching options that help researchers find information easily. Gale Genealogy Connect allows users to search across multiple volumes, identifying connections and enriching family history.

Health and Medicine (Gale OneFile)

Created specifically for students, knowledgeable consumer health researchers, and health care professionals, Gale OneFile: Health and Medicine includes information on a full range of health care topics.  This database integrates millions of articles from a wide range of nursing and allied health journals, newspapers, magazines, newsletters and select consumer health information sources, and also includes videos demonstrating  surgeries and other medical procedures.

Health and Wellness (Gale)

Gale Health and Wellness  is a comprehensive resource that provides integrated access to medical, statistical, health, and related information. Use this resource to find information about diabetes, cancer, obesity and depression, among other conditions. Also search within current topics in the news, drug and herbal remedies, health highlights, and health directories for accessing contact information for clinics, medical centers and foundations. Your search results are organized in an easy tab format and all sources are available for printing, e-mailing, and downloading.

LitFinder (Gale Literature)

Find Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech or poetry by Issa Kobayashi of Japan. Spanning history and geography, LitFinder delivers an extensive, ever-growing selection of full-text online poems, short stories, essays, speeches and plays.
