1.) Dr. John Hope Franklin, who has conducted extensive research on little-known African-Americans.

2.) Zora Neale Hurston, she was ahead of her time.

3.) Carl Rowan, really captured the essence of the Civil Rights movement.

Reading is Important

I learned to read before I enrolled in the first grade. My mother gave me the gift of reading which has opened up a world of opportunity. Reading remains my favorite pastime.
