Technology classes are free to Library District Resident card holders, Fee card holders, and Orange County Property Owner card holders. Others may attend by paying a $10 fee at time of registration prior to class time. Please register with the child’s library card. A responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger and must stay in close proximity while the child is participating in Whiz Kids.

Would you like to further explore a topic or idea covered in one of our classes? Come hangout with other kids and dig a little deeper.
Use Snap Circuits to explore the basics of electronics while you build exciting projects such as a flashing light, an alarm, a doorbell and more. Make learning electronics a snap. Fun for anyone ages 8 years and up. Registered children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult, guardian or older sibling in the workshop. This class is taught in a collaborative learning environment. Participants may work in teams of 2-3 students.
Use K'NEX construction system to build machines such as transmissions, drag racers, cranes, rocket launchers, and more. Make learning about simple machines, motion and engineering fun with hands-on building. Fun for anyone ages 9 years and up. Registered children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult, guardian or older sibling in the workshop. All participants must register to attend. This class is taught in a collaborative learning environment. Participants may work in teams of 2-3 students.
