CANCELLED: Photo Studio Orientation and Assessment

Tour the Photography Studio. Learn the Photography Studio workflow, procedures and best practices. Individual photography assessments are available after the orientation. Prior to booking the photo studio, users must participate in an assessment to show proficiency in using the photo studio equipment. This is a prerequisite class to gain access to the Melrose Center Photography Studio. Recommended Audience: Adult ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: To register for this orientation and/or assessment, cardholders must attend the General Orientation for the Melrose Center and must be at least 18 years of age. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years of age). You must be present at the scheduled start time to be admitted. #tic #phototic

Audio Studio Assessment: Control Room

Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Melrose Center Registration Required

Prior to booking a studio, users are required to successfully complete a brief studio-specific assessment. The assessment will cover basic studio workflows, including: setting up microphones, signal routing, cue systems and setting up and saving a recording session using Pro Tools. Required Skills: Introductory knowledge of the Pro Tools environment, signal flow and effects processing. Experience with microphones, signal routing and cue systems. Recommended Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Sound for Audio Engineering, Pro Tools Levels 1-4, Audio Equipment Training: Microphones, Audio Equipment Training: Studio Signal Routing Level 1, Audio Equipment Training: Studio Signal Routing Level 2 and Assessment Prep: Audio Studio Control Room.
