The Big Read

National Endowment for the Arts

The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest designed to promote literature in Amerian culture and encourage citizens to read for enjoyment and insight. OCLS has been selected to participate in the Big Read a total of four times since the program’s national launch in 2007.

The Big Read hopes to address the decline of literary reading in America by providing select organizations the opportunity to read and discuss a single book within the community through grants and a variety of resources. Visit www.neabigread.org for more information!
