The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.

Book: A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. A copy of the book will be provided to all registered participants. A story based on the true life of a Sudanese refugee camp survivor; an orphan who was adopted, learned English, and came to the United States. An inspiring story to be read and discussed together.
This five-week workshop is provided by the Adult Literacy League in partnership with Southwest Branch Library of the Orange County Library System.
