Freading is a brand new way to enjoy e-books from the Orange County Library System. With Freading, you'll find thousands of e-books from many small and independent publishers. Take a look at the "Top Downloads" which includes titles such as "1,000 Places To See Before You Die", "The Gingerbread Cookie Murder" and "Yoga for Men". Titles by Fern Michaels, Lisa Jackson and Sara Gruen who wrote "Water For Elephants" are also in the "Top Downloads." Freading offers fiction and non-fiction books that can be found by searching for a title, author or by browsing through 50 subject categories.
The Freading service offers unlimited and simultaneous downloads, which means your entire family or book club can all download a copy of the same title at the same time! E-books check out for two weeks and can be renewed one time for two more weeks from the date you renew.
