Paolo Melillo | Branch Manager

Paolo Melillo is the Branch Manager of the Southeast Branch Library.

Paolo had his chapter, Partnering to Promote Financial Literacy - The Orange County Library Experience, accepted for publication. It will be part of the forthcoming book Advances in Library Information Science Book Series published by IGI Global.

Kelly Pepo | Acquisitions Services Manager

Kelly Pepo has been with the Orange County Library System for 6 years. She was an Assistant Manager in Technical Services for more than three years before she moved to the Division of Branches in 2005.

Jo Ann Sampson | Department Manager of Special Services

Jo Ann Sampson has been with the Orange County Library System for 4 years and has 18 years of experience in various library settings. She is currently the Department Head for the Special Services Department which handles MAYL, the highly popular OCLS home delivery program. Previously, Jo Ann was an assistant manager in the library system and the project manager for the OCLS "Job Smart, Job Start" which was recognized by the Florida Division of Library and Information Services as an Exemplary Project. She also served as project managers for our "Grow Your Business" grant project funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. She earned her Masters in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University.

"Outreach as Virtual Branch" an essay from the Jan/Feb '09 issue of "Public Libraries" in the Perspectives section.

Her project profile was accepted for publication in a soon-to-be-released book. Her work will appear in Writing Successful Technology Grant Proposals: A LITA Guide by Pam Mackellar to be released by Neal-Schuman Publishers later in 2011.

Debbie Tour, CPLA | Administrator for Lifelong Learning

Debbie Tour managed the Circulation Department for 8 years, before becoming the Acquisitions Services Manager in 2007. In Acquisitions she oversees Technical Services and Collection Development. She has earned the designation of Certified Public Library Administrator (CPLA). The CPLA is a post-MLS certification program for public librarians with supervisory experience. The curriculum consists of courses for successful library management such as budget and finance, management of technology and serving diverse populations. The CPLA designation demonstrates that the certified person has acquired a nationally and professionally recognized body of knowledge and expertise in public library administration.

Recognized for:
Writing and accepting the H. W. Wilson Grant, which recognized the Library's training program for support staff called Ready, Set, Go. The grant will help expand the training program to include participants from other library systems.
