Some items from our tentative agenda include:
“In The Beginning: An Overview of the Origins of the Central Florida Memory Experience”, Barry Baker, University of Central Florida .
“The Florida Electronic Library & The State Digitization Scene”. Priscilla Caplan of the Florida Center for Library Automation will share information about the Florida Electronic Library (FEL) and Publication of Archival, Library & Museum Materials ( PALMM).
“Behind the Scenes” presentors will talk about the software and hardware selected for our project (Content DM) and various workflow methods employed on the project. Panelists will include Selma Jaskowski and Lee Dotson of the University of Central Florida .
“Selection, Access, and Use” will cover how to choose the materials which will be digitized, digital rights concerns and copyright , and web page development for your project.
“Weaving the Story” presenters Gregg Gronlund, Orange County Library System, will discuss the development of a story line used to tie our digital images together into an interesting tale of early Central Florida and its characters.
"Reaching for the Children” presenters, Cindy Hutchinson, University of Central Florida , and Kathryn Robinson, Orange County Library System, will discuss the development of the various educational components of Central Florida Memory for use by fourth grade students in their study of Florida History.
