At this one-day workshop, participants will create a figurine sculpture using environmentally friendly Powertex material. For ages 18 and older. Registration required. Meet local artist Belina Wright at a celebration of color, culture and heritage with a Caribbean influence in honor of Haitian Flag Day. Wright's art is strongly influenced by her Haitian and African-American heritage as well as her fascination with music, art, clothing and the customs of various cultures. Photographer and graphic artist Ed Hernandez displays his photo essay about the connections we make with images. Based in the era of World War II, the photographs reflect a passage of time and an unmistakable association with what is left behind.
