The Friends of Koto will perform traditional 17th century music along with modern pieces on the Japanese stringed instrument, the koto. See the Friends of Koto perform with this beautiful instrument while dressed in traditional Kimono. This performance will be accompanied by a lecture on the koto's rich history.

Jessamine Trio presents an accessible, heartfelt program of modern classical music for all listeners, especially children. Twelve new lullaby compositions written by Jeff M. Brown for piano, cello and violin, and accompanied by the poetry of award-winning author, Caroline Sposto, from Memphis, TN carry listeners across a colorful landscape of rich musical imagery and innocent peacefulness. See the violin, cello and piano up close, played by professional classical musicians, and enter into a dream world of pieces like, "Lizard Lake," "Raindrops," "Dream of the Ice Skater," and "The Red Dolphin."

Debuting new musical works that pull from a wide range of influences, the pieces incorporate the use of electronic as well as acoustic instruments. Mixing electronic music with classical instrumentation, at times surround sound to envelop you in hypnotic pulses juxtaposed against noise friendly organic polyrhythms. You will hear the vibraphone, vello, guitar and drums.
