Southwest Art Series: Painting

Is learning how to paint with acrylics or oils on your bucket list? Do you want to improve your painting skills? The Southwest Art Series: Painting is sponsored by Women in the Arts Inc., a non-profit organization. These workshops will be taught by qualified art instructors monthly. This series takes place the first Saturday of each month and will run through November. To learn more about Women in the Arts Inc., visit www.womeninthearts.org.
Workshops are free and basic materials will be provided. Registration is required. Limited to 15 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. For ages 18 and up.

Meet photographer Azoré Harris for an up-close and personal look at her fascinating exhibition, Eternal Essence of Energy. Azoré, a native Floridian and local business owner, will lead a gallery walk of her exhibit and answer questions about her photographs featuring Florida’s natural landscapes, cityscapes and nature preserves with remarkable focus on wildlife, butterflies, gardens and bodies of water.

Handmade Doll Exhibit

Joan Chason's creative exhibit depicts children's stories and nursery rhymes using handmade porcelain dolls and soft sculpture characters.
Experience Ancient Rome

Legio VI-Florida Cohort brings history to life through artifacts, reconstructions and re-enactments of first century Rome. See a reconstruction of a room from ancient Pompeii as well as personal items used during the time such as games, a writing tablet, food and cooking devices, reconstructed armor and mythological figurines.
Florida Cohort is affiliated with Legio VI Ferrata Fidelas Constans (Legion Six, “Iron (Clad) Always Faithful”) of Summerville, South Carolina.
