Throughout the month of March

March is All About Authors! Authors from all over Florida will be at the Orlando Public Library throughout the month to discuss their work.  From a New York Times best-selling author to a mother turned career author, there is a book discussion for every type of reader.  Join us at these programs during March and stay for a book sale and signing for each author.  Click on the author names to add these programs to your calendar.

Connie Gleason

Dr. J. Calvin McCray

Two lives - like two separate waves each on their enjoy journeys - meet change forever.  James McCray and Nancy Astor came from different worlds.  Their paths crossed in 1958, when Fulbright Scholar McCray traveled to Britain and was taken under the great Lady Astor's wing.  The heartfelt story of their friendship is captured in Dr. J Calvin McCray's book Edd Tide: Nancy Astor's Greatest Challenge.  Dr. J Calvin McCray discusses his book and share details of other the other famous people mentioned in the book.  Book sale and signing to follow the program. Buz Donahoo

Local author and adventurer Buz Donahoo recounts stories from his travels abroad in his book A Ticket, A Pack and A Chart.  Tracing his journeys across the globe, he recounts the experiences he’s had in the unique places he’s visited.  Through the pages of his book, Donahoo reminds us that it is often the little things in life and travel that leave a lasting impression.  Graduate of the University of Miami and former U.S. Army officer, Donahoo now plans and guides expeditions to remote and exotic destinations around the world with Condor Adventures. Book sale and signing to follow the program. Stephanie McAfee

Self-published author Stephanie McAfee stops by at the Orlando Public Library to talk about her New York Times and USA Today best-selling debut novel Diary of a Mad Fat Girl.  Stephanie will discuss her feisty protagonist Graciela “Ace” Jones from her hilarious and fast-paced tale and also share more on her amazing experience as a self-published writer. Sherley Mondesir-Prescott

Jennifer R. Resetar

With compassion for childhood disabilities, author Jennifer R. Resetar will discuss her debut children’s book Whirl Wind, a story about a boy-turned-superhero who defends kids from bullying and protects the city from crime. Growing up with cerebral palsy herself, Resetar will also share on how her illness has always inspired her to do more than what seems possible. Book sale and signing to follow the program.
