Fitness-focused grant kicks off wellness programs at library
The Orange County Library System (OCLS) kicks off its Get Fine in ’09 campaign as part of the Fit For Life grant, a program of MetLife Foundation and Libraries for the Future, the program division of the Americans for Libraries Council. The Get Fine in ’09 kickoff that was held at the Orlando Public Library on Saturday, January 10 celebrated a year’s worth of free wellness programs at OCLS libraries.
In this very competitive grant, OCLS was one of 17 library systems nationwide selected to promote lifelong health and wellness through community responsive programs. OCLS was awarded the $20,000 to fulfill the grant proposal.
