East meets West at the library

Author to give talk on ethnic treats and culture

 

Vietnamese author and chef Ha Roda will demonstrate how to make delicious summer rolls!  Summer rolls are a tasty ethnic treat that are healthy, fresh, appetizing, inexpensive and easy to make.  Roda’s cookbook, A Vietnamese Kitchen: Treasured Family Recipes, is filled with genuine family recipes.  Steaming bowls of pho, the ever-popular beef noodle soup, spring rolls, summer rolls, clay pot ginger chicken, and exotic desserts such as crumpled sweet rice and banana coconut pudding are just a few of the delicacies included.  A book sale and signing follows program.
