Featured Classes of the Month
The Library offers computer classes that can assist you in the development of databases. Below you will find a listing of the classes along with the class descriptions:
Microsoft Excel Level 2
Apply Excel concepts to spreadsheets. Manipulate data in spreadsheets using additional Microsoft Excel features such as sorting and adding comments. Recommended Prerequisite: Microsoft Excel Level 1
Microsoft Access Level 1
Learn database concepts and terminologies. Become familiar with the Microsoft Access environment: tables, queries, forms and report objects. Recommended Prerequisite: Excel Level 2
Microsoft Access Level 2
Create a simple database using multiple tables; build relationships among tables. Recommended Prerequisite: Microsoft Access Level 1
Microsoft Access Level 3
Learn how to manipulate data within multiple database tables using advanced queries. Recommended Prerequisite: Microsoft Access Level 2
Microsoft Access Level 4
Create forms and reports using the built-in Microsoft Access Wizard and learn how to customize them. Recommended Prerequisite: Microsoft Access Level 3
Microsoft Access Templates
Learn how to create a Contact Management Database using the Database Wizard to store important contact information for your records. Recommended Prerequisite: Microsoft Access Level 1

Learn how to create your own Flash Tutorial using the program Wink. Wink is a freely downloadable program that will help you build animated tutorials as well as capture screen shots of images that can be used in reports for a professional look. The OCLS Online Catalog Book Lookup is a bookmarklet (a Java applet that can be added to an Internet browser). The applet, when run, will search the current URL for an ISBN, and open up the library online catalog. The applet will automatically search the catalog. If it finds the ISBN, a new window will open showing the title in our catalog.
