.: Staff Spotlight! Jorge A.

Jorge has worked with the Orange County Library System for over five years as a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Technology Trainer at the South Creek Branch. Jorge enjoys computer training because he gets to help people on a daily basis. He says, "There are many occasions where people come back to tell you the impact that you had in their lives. For example, they will see me and, with a smile on their face, tell me "Thanks," and "Because of what you taught me in Excel, I got the job," or "I got the promotion," and even "I am not afraid of touching the computer anymore." When not teaching classes, Jorge likes listening to music, reading, movies, watching nature and meditation. When asked what he would like to share with students Jorge stated, "To those that I had the honor of teaching, thank you for giving us the opportunity of sharing our technical knowledge with you. Your attendance and support of these classes is most appreciated. Please continue to share your experience with family, neighbors, and the community. To those who have not taken our classes, I say, "Hey, what do you have to lose? Give it a try, they're free! Just sign up for a single class; it will only take an hour of your time, and, who knows, we may have something to learn together after all!"
