Welcome to the final newsletter for 2011! Happy Holidays from the Technology and Education staff! Check out the What’s New section for details on exciting news about the Job Seekers Class Series and get ideas for digital presents to share with families and friends by attending the Storytelling classes! .: Coming Soon - Job Seekers Class Series will be Offered Online in January
You read that right! Starting the first Saturday in January, we will be offering our popular Job Seekers Class Series online! You can learn how to: create resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters; search and apply for jobs using the Internet and improve your interview skills, all from the comfort of your own home or office!
Each class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the following dates:
January 7, 2012 - Resume Writing
January 14, 2012 - Job Seeker Letters
January 21, 2012 - Search and Apply for Jobs Using the Internet
January 28, 2012 - Improve your Job Interview Skills
.: Using Technology to Tell a Story - Holiday/Winter Edition
A variety of computer classes will be offered at all library locations throughout the month of December in celebration of winter and the holidays. The featured classes are Create a Photo Story Collage with Adobe Photoshop, Bring a Story to Life with Sound Effects, and Tell a Story with Digital Media. It’s a fun way to learn new software and a great way to create digital gifts for the ones you love, just in time for the holidays. .: Advanced Excel 2010 Classes Available
Now available at all Library locations! Our advanced Excel classes have been updated to Excel 2010. Come in and get familiar with Formulas and Functions, Data Management, Creating Basic Macros, and Pivot Tables, all in Excel 2010!

Enter your library card information and access our Self-Paced Online Classes to take advantage of computer lessons from our most popular classes. Select a course track that suits your small business interests to learn the latest computer software programs and run your business more efficiently. We provide computer software training on how to use Microsoft Office to create documents and spreadsheets, QuickBooks to manage your finances, HTML to setup a website, Adobe Photoshop to design logos and artwork, and Computer Networking to understand basic networking concepts.
