Get up to date on today’s emerging Web and online media technologies including blogs, RSS feeds, podcasting, social networking, language learning, and more. Learn how to use these technologies at your own pace. There will be ten online learning units, released weekly. Join the weekly online chat to learn more from others in the OCLS eLearning community. Participants must complete and submit each unit to be eligible for the prize drawing…tickets to a Magic home game.

.: College Placement Test Seminar
How important are my test scores? What are the major factors in the admission decisions of colleges? How can my test scores help determine my Bright Futures Scholarship Award? Should I take the ACT or the SAT? Get answers to these questions and more on July 25th at 10am. Coupons for free simulated ACT/SAT tests will be awarded to all participants and a drawing for one complete SAT or ACT Class redeemable at Dr. Phillips, Winter Park, Ocoee or Lake Mary Sylvan Center.

.: Featured Database of the Month
.:: Genealogy for Amateurs and Professionals
HeritageQuest Online is designed to help amateur and professional genealogists, local historians, and library patrons search and use data from the U.S. Federal Censuses from 1790 to 1930. The database includes Revolutionary War pension and bounty-land-warrant application files, as well as the Freedman's Bank Records, an important resource for African-American genealogical research. Additionally, there are more than 250 primary-source documents such as tax lists, city directories, and probate records.
