Welcome to the Technology @ OCLS March 2009 Newsletter. There are many services available at the Library, and it’s a good time to check them out. Get help with taxes this season, discover new technologies, and attend any of our exciting computer classes currently being offered.

Trying to figure out which form to use for your taxes? Want to take full advantage of all of the new credits and deductions? Find the answers to these questions and more at your local Library. View our Taxes Virtual Gallery for tax forms, instructions, and additional information as well as the dates and branch locations where you can find assistance filling out and completing your tax forms.

.:Innovations in Technology

Want to know what Orange County Library System is doing before everyone else does? Become a Beta Tester for OCLS. The Library has many new technologies, and we need your feedback before it goes live to the public. Currently, the Library is Beta Testing an iPhone/iPod touch enhanced Web App for our Web site, www.ocls.info. Be the first to test this mobile application for the OCLS community.

Discover the impact of women throughout history. Explore the Women’s History Month Virtual Gallery for programs, materials, and online resources. There’s even a selection of biographies of some of the more famous women in history.

Not sure what to do this Spring Break? The Library is offering free computer classes just for kids and teens! Discover Mac computers. Explore digital photo editing. Create your own comic strip. All this and more can be found at the Orlando Public Library.

Take a live online computer class from your home or office computer. Get on board and register today! Note: A computer speaker or a headset is required for audio.
