Reading Companion

Learn to read and improve your skills with Reading Companion - available at our Southeast, Hiawassee and South Trail branches during all open language labs. Check the location schedules for orientation.

Reading Companion offers:

  • Immediate feedback through innovative voice recognition software
  • Assistance provided by an online "tutor" as you read along using a headset and microphone
  • "Tutor" feedback to improve skills by repeating the exercises
  • Library staff assistance selecting reading material based on your skill level

Once you've created a Reading Companion account through the Library, this service is available from home or office, or during any of our open language labs through Reading Companion's Web site at www.readingcompanion.com. Please note, Reading Companion is PC-based only and is not compatible with MACs at this time.
