Can I make a list of books I want to read in the future?

Unfortunately we don’t have the ability to add in a wishlist into the catalog. There are a few other ways you could work around this. One is with our preferred searches that save searches in the catalog to your account. You can add a preferred search by logging into your account, searching for a book you want and then clicking on the Save as a Preferred Search button that appears near the search form at the top of the page. You can then access your preferred searches through your online library card account. On the right side of your account page, there is a link for preferred searches. Click on that and you can then access your list of searches. So you could just search for the books you want and save those searches for later.

Another method is to add all the books you want to your Book Cart using the Add to Book Cart buttons on the left of each item on the search results screen after you’ve done a search. Unfortunately, the Book Cart does not persist after you have left the OCLS site or closed your web browser. However, after adding items to your Book Cart, a View Saved button will appear at the top of the page. If you click on this you can opt to either request items in your Book Cart or export your saved items. If you choose to export the saved records, you can email them to yourself or save them as a file or Web page to your computer. You can then use this as a reference for what books you want to read.

One other thing, though it is not something the Library developed, so we cannot vouch for its efficacy, is ISBNShelf which allows you to create lists of books and rate them. This could allow you to keep a wishlist as well.

If that doesn't answer your question, try searching for another question, or contact Help Desk.
