Who May Enter

Only teens ages 13 to 18 with an Orange County regular, property owner, or fee card in good standing are eligible to win.

What to Enter

There are two categories: altered photos and unaltered photos. Altered photos are defined as any changes that have been made to the photo except for redeye reduction.

Photo entries may be in print or digital format, up to two entries per person.

Entries should be the original work of the applicant. Neither whole nor part of your entry may have been used in any publication. 

Photographs that depict vulgarity, excessive violence, or material considered offensive to any religious or ethnic groups, gender, or physically or mentally challenged persons will be disqualified.

Entry Deadlines

Entries will be accepted June 7 - July 31, 2010. Deadline for entries is July 31, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. No entries will be considered after this time.

Judging

Photos will be judged on technical skill, creativity, and expression of teen perspective. The decision of the judges is final.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to: 1st Place in Altered Photos and 1st Place in Unaltered Photos. Everyone who submits an entry to the Snapshot Photo Contest will also be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing, if they are eligible.

Winners will be announced at the End of Summer Beach Blast, Thursday, August 12th, at 6 p.m. at the Orlando Public Library, Library Central. The Grand Prize Drawing will also take place at this event. You must be present to win prizes from the drawing.

Rights

By submission, the author grants permission for the Library to display, photograph and reproduce the submitted work for publicity purposes.

Keep a copy of your photo. Entries will not be returned.

OCLS is not responsible for lost, damaged, or inaccessible work.

Submission of an entry requires acceptance of all of the contest rules.
