Meeting Notes for 2012 October 2012 I. Business New officers for 2012-2013: President - Hannah Book Trailers: Have you read a good book lately? Then you are the perfect candidate to create a a book trailer. Make as many as you would like, just make sure that you use original music (ex: GarageBand). These trailers are greatly appreciated. Keep track of your hours as community service hours can be awarded and your trailer might end up on our Informed Teens webpage. CSLP Video: The annual Teen Summer Reading Video is quickly approaching and the theme this year is "Beneath the Surface." We are looking for ideas based on this theme that promote reading at your local library. Teen Book Displays: We are looking for ideas for the December book display in Club Central. If you have suggestions, let us know! If you love Anime or Manga then you should participate in the Animanga Character Reality Contest going on through November 12. Tell your friends! II. Business Teen Voices Logo: New logo is complete and in use. Viva Florida 500: Discussed ideas for teen programming during 2013. Teen Summer Reading Video: - Coming soon - start collecting ideas. July 2012 Teen Talent Show Next meeting is scheduled for August 23, 6 p.m. in Club Central.
June 2012 I. Business Trending: Teens discussed ideas for trending programs. Some suggestions were movie nights, community service club, and Battle of the Books. Viva Florida 500: Discussed creating a time capsule for the Statewide celebration in 2013 commemorating 500 years of continuous Florida history. Teen Talent Show: Arrive at 5:30 if you would like to help set up. Sign-up if you would like to perform. II. Upcoming Events Join us every Wednesday throughout summer at 3 p.m. for teen programs. See you at the Teen Talent Show in place of our next meeting on July 26, 6 p.m. May 2012 I. Business Teens put together ideas for a Teen Voices logo and made a draft of a potential logo. II. Upcoming Events Join us every Wednesday throughout the summer year at 3 p.m. for teen programs. Teen Voices will be assisting with the Teen Talent Show at our July 26th meeting. Don't miss the Teen Clothing Swap in August as well as the Teen End of Summer Bash. Next meeting is scheduled for June 28, 6 p.m. in Club Central April 2012 I. Business No official business. Teen Voices hosted Open Mic Night. The evening was a great success. TLC Volunteer Celebration - Tropical Luau - Teen Voices was asked to come up with award names to honor our volunteers. II. January 2012 I. Business Teen Podcast - Teens recorded the podcast for February 2012. Teen Open Mic Night - Teen Voices has been asked to host this annual event (formerly Java Lounge).
