Night
By

People leave the street into the extravagance of luminous firelight.
The moon illuminates night and stars glisten as the day subsides.
Noises seem to cease except for the sound of crickets.
Heat dwindles as crisp chill engulfs the darkness.
Creature’s parts with homes as others reunite.
Every day something new to indulge in.
Every night something to worship.
