My Sanctuary

The waves crashed against the shore
The sea gulls squacked just like before
The children laughed and screamed with excitement more than you'd believe
The sounds of My Sanctuary
The grainy sand caressed my bare feet
The breeze striked my face and tousles my hair
The water was chilly against my tawny skin
The sensations of My Sanctuary
The unceasing horizon
The cool turquoise water, said to be ruled by Poseidon
The bright sun blinding my deep brown eyes
The sunbathers, the little toddlers
The sights of My Sanctuary
I take it in
I absorb my surrounding
I gaze at the sun until my head is pounding
The salt water holds my solution
The cerulean liquid hold my conclusion
My Sanctuary
