The
Story
Holes
is the story of Stanley Yelnats, a boy sent to serve out
a sentence for a crime he didn't commit at Camp Green
Lake. This comes as no suprise to Stanley, whose family
has been cursed for generations by his "no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather".
Stanley comes to find out that Camp Green Lake isn;t camp
at all: it's as dry and brown as a desert and his sole
purpose for being there is to dig holes. Under the watchful
eye of the Warden and her henchman Mr. Sir, the boys spend
their days digging holes 5 feet deep, 5 feet wide, and
5 feet across. It's supposed to build the boys' character,
but the Warden is secretly looking for the long-lost treasure
of Kissin' Kate Barlow, the meanest and most legendary
outlaw of these part, and will stop at nothing to find
it!
Instead of digging
up holes, your task is to dig up more information on various
parts of the story. All you will need is your Orange County
Library Card and PIN numbers. get to clickin'!
