Make Me Super Strong:
A Mascot Contest

Have you always wanted to be super strong? Well, here’s your chance! Draw and tell us about yourself as a super strong mascot and you could win a Celebrity Mascot Games VIP Prize Package for July 26. The package will include premium seats, poster, and a mascot meet and greet. Ages 6-12. Deadline for entry is July 18, 2008.

This is the only event of its kind in the world! The Celebrity Mascot Games features over 30 mascots including the Orlando Magic’s very own Stuff, Klaw from the Orlando Predators, Knightro from the University of Central Florida, and Albert from the University of Florida. The mascots will perform a variety of wacky and crazy games! Three great shows, July 25 and 26 at the Amway Arena and July 24 at Stetson University. For more information visit: www.orlandosports.org

Grand Prize Giveaway
Read to win! Grab a “Whole Wide World Summer Reading Calendar,” read every day over the summer, mark each day that you’ve read and return your calendar to any library location by August 15, 2008 to earn your free Papa John’s pizza and goody bag and pick up your Passport. Bring your Passport to the Around the World Bash on August 16, at 3 p.m. at the Orlando Public Library to be entered in the grand prize drawing. Child must be present to win. Calendars can be picked up at any library location or online at www.ocls.info/srp.

The World with all Things Big and Small, Short and Tall
Discover the World of William Joyce through art and stories. Start off your day with stories, crafts and fun! In conjunction with the Orlando Museum of Art’s exhibition The World of William Joyce. Recommended for ages 3-5. Registration is required, call 407.835.7323 to register.
