Materials: red and yellow fingerpaint, paperplate, yellow cotton balls, marker, pink and brown construction paper, brown pipe cleaners, glue, scissors.
Instructions: Have the child paint the paperplate for the face. Next, let her stretch the cotton balls. Cut out an oval shape for the nose from the pink construction paper and cut out ears in the shape of squares with top corners rounded. Glue the nose, ears, and cotton ball mane to the paperplate. Add three pipe cleaners to either side of the lion's nose. To complete the lion, have the child draw a smiling mouth.
