Cinnamon Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 3/8 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 cup cinnamon drops (candies)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir into shortening mixture. Add cinnamon drops. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen.
