Create a Quill Pen

Materials: Straw, tape or stapler, scissors, paper, and paint.

Directions: Let your children make their own quill pen. All they need to do is to cut the tip of a straw at an angle (forms the writing end). Next have them make a construction paper feather. They can then tape or staple the feather to the straw. Now they can dip their quill pen into black paint and write on paper.
