Tampa Bay Library Consortium Webinar | June 2014

Presented in a webinar hosted by the Tampa Bay Library Consortium entitled Learn More About Makerspace Projects in Chattanooga, Orlando, and Tampa. During the presentation one of the participants tweeted 'Quite possibly the BEST library makerspace - Melrose Center'.

2014 Florida Library Association Presentation | May 2014

Co-presented at the Florida Library Association with Ann Collins and Natalie Houston; Presentation title: Envision Excellence in STEM Education: Plans and Practices for Embracing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The presentation offered detailed step-by?step guidelines for streamlining STEM planning for any audience from strategic planning through implementation and specific programming activities. The presentation includes lively slide shows, demos of hands?on technology training, activities to get everyone involved, and strategies for applying instructional design principles to develop creative and critical thinking skills.

Created a mixed-media piece, A Solemn Consideration, inspired by A Tale of Two Cities and the county-wide celebration of the author Charles Dickens. The piece has been recently accepted into the Orlando Museum of Art’s, What the Dickens! event to be held at the museum.
