I strongly believe in the Public Library as a cornerstone of a community, serving to educate, entertain, and enrich its residents. My first job was as a 9-year-old volunteer in the Woodward, Oklahoma Carnegie Public Library Children's Department. My mother Pearle Sarchet was a librarian in Midwest City, Oklahoma for several years.
